Feeding America Social Media Analytics
ADPR 5750: Social Media Analytics, Listening, and Engagement is a data-driven course designed to teach students how to monitor, measure, and optimize social media activity for brands and organizations. Through hands-on labs, case studies, and team projects, students learn to use tools like Brandwatch and Google Analytics to track online conversations, identify key audiences, and develop data-driven strategies for engagement. The course builds critical skills in digital analytics and social listening, helping future advertising professionals create more targeted and impactful campaigns.

For our ADPR 5750 project, we conducted a comprehensive social media analysis of Feeding America to assess its online presence and engagement across Twitter (X), Instagram, and Facebook. The goal was to identify strategies to increase donations, raise awareness, and boost audience interaction. Based on data analysis and peer organization comparisons, we recommended posting during peak engagement times, partnering with notable brands and celebrities, sharing success stories and impactful hunger statistics, highlighting the connection between food insecurity and mental health, and advocating for hunger-relief policies. These strategies were designed to strengthen Feeding America's digital outreach, build stronger community engagement, and further its mission to combat food insecurity.
