Mobile Video Production
Put on headphones for better experience!
For my ADPR 3550 course, I created a mobile video titled "Origami," which combined visual storytelling with sound design to engage viewers through a simple, creative narrative. The project required me to use only a smartphone for filming and editing, focusing on framing, pacing, lighting, and motion to create professional-quality content without traditional production equipment. Through this experience, I learned the importance of planning shots carefully, thinking critically about visual composition, and adapting to the fast-paced, real-world conditions of mobile content creation. I also gained a deeper understanding of how to tell a complete story within a short time frame, how to edit effectively on mobile platforms, and how important authenticity and creativity are in social media production today.
Podcast Production
Recommendation: Turn down volume and adjust for better experience!
For my ADPR 3550 course, I created a podcast episode titled "Tasty Origins," which explored the cultural background and significance of different foods. This project involved developing a concept, scripting content, recording high-quality audio, editing the final piece, and ensuring it was engaging and clear for listeners. Through making this podcast, I learned how to organize a compelling narrative for audio storytelling, how to manage pacing and tone to maintain listener interest, and how to apply technical skills like sound editing, background music integration, and voice modulation. It also taught me the importance of planning structure ahead of time, balancing scripted and natural speaking, and using audio to create vivid imagery and emotion without visuals.

New Caption
In my Social Media Copywriting assignment, I rewrote social media captions for local Athens brands Creature Comforts and Jittery Joe’s. For Creature Comforts, I created an energetic, game day-focused caption that encouraged audience interaction and tied the messaging to UGA traditions. For Jittery Joe’s, I crafted a festive holiday post that emphasized urgency, highlighted a local collaboration, and included clear calls-to-action to drive engagement. Both rewrites focused on enhancing brand voice, encouraging community involvement, and optimizing the posts for higher audience engagement through hashtags and interactive prompts.
Digital Photography

For my ADPR 3550 course, I completed a digital photography project that focused on visual storytelling and applying fundamental photography principles. The assignment required us to take original photos that demonstrated techniques such as the rule of thirds, leading lines, depth of field, symmetry, and framing. We were tasked with capturing and editing a series of images that communicated a clear message or mood, while maintaining professional composition and technical quality. Through this project, I learned how to use light, angles, and perspective to strengthen a photo’s visual impact, as well as how to edit images for color correction, contrast, and clarity. Most importantly, I gained a stronger eye for visual detail and an understanding of how powerful still imagery can be in creating engaging content for digital and social media platforms.
